In the late 1880's Marcus Daly built his family a summer home in Hamilton.  The mansion occupies 24,000 sq. ft. on 3 floors with 24 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms and 7 fireplaces.  The Daly Mansion is open to the public for tours daily from April 15-October 15 with hourly tours from 11-4:00.

Established in 1841 by Father Pierre DeSmet, who came into the valley at the request of the local Indian tribes for "Black Robes".  The log chapel/ residence has been restored.  With a gift shop, pharmacy, Indian museum and park & picnic area.  Tours are held daily from 10-5:00.

The building housing the Ravalli County Museum was built in 1900 and was the former Ravalli County Courthouse.  Hours consist of normal business hours with a Sunday Lecture Series held weekly at 2:00 P.M.  In the summer months the local Farmer's Market is held on the grounds.

The fort was established by Major John Owen in 1850 who purchased it from the Jesuits who had settled in the valley in the mid-1800's.  The post was active from 1850-1872.
